About OPWS Website Design

About me, actually. I'm David Heriot and I run OPWS. I've been 'in' technology for about 28 years, including 19 years with good ol' IBM. But I've also run my own music technology company (called MusicWriter if you want to know) and marketing consultancy called PFS Consulting. Using technology for marketing interests me and I've been selling, fixing and marketing interactive technology for a long time. Now I run OPWS (and pfsweb - an online marketing company) because I believe that it's about time that every business, every small and medium sized business, started to use the power of the Internet.

OPWS Technology

I don't normally talk technology, but if you want to know, I build sites using XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS for short. In the old days (and a lot of web designers are still in the old days), tables were used to design website page structures. Not here. CSS is the modern, flexible way to write websites, because the content is divorced from the style, which makes it much easier to change style, and much quicker to load and respond to user interaction.

Simple. If you give me any information about you or your business, it stays with me. I don't sell it and only use it to send you emails if you've subscribed.
